Printing
Instead of a collection colour, you can upload your own logo or artwork. We print it on acoustic fabric, so a printed panel absorbs sound just like any other.
Two ways to print
A logo on a plain background
Upload your logo and we place it on a background in one of the print colours. You choose its size and position in the configurator. It works well in offices, meeting rooms and receptions – anywhere the panel should carry your brand without taking over.
Full artwork
The artwork fills the whole face and wraps round the sides, so there’s no white edge from the side. It suits photos, illustrations and patterns. The configurator shows which part of the image goes on the face and which on the sides.
Preparing your file
- Formats: PNG, JPG, WebP and SVG. Files can be up to 40 MB.
- Resolution: we recommend 100 dpi at full size, and the minimum is 60 dpi. People usually look at a panel from two metres or more, and from there 100 dpi is enough for a sharp print. The configurator works out your file’s resolution for the size you choose and warns you if it’s too low.
- Safe area: keep anything important, such as text or a logo, at least 3 cm from the edge of the face.
- Logo: at least 8 cm wide and no more than 80% of the panel’s shorter side.
- Wrap: with full artwork, the image continues onto the sides of the panel – 5 or 10 cm, depending on the thickness – and a little further, onto the back of the frame. That bleed is hidden underneath. Don’t put anything that must stay visible at the edges of the image.
We check every file
We look at every piece of artwork before printing. If the resolution is too low, something sits outside the safe area, or the file looks different from what you’d expect, we get in touch before production. Nothing is printed unchecked.
Why printing doesn’t clog the weave
Dye sublimation is a printing method in which heat turns the dye into a gas that goes into the polyester fibres. Rather than forming a coating on the fabric, as paint would, it colours the fibre itself. The weave stays open, so sound passes through the fabric just as it did before printing, and the colour won’t rub off or crack when the fabric is stretched over the frame.
Rights to the artwork
By uploading a file you confirm you have the right to use it – it’s yours, or you hold a licence. We don’t print other people’s trade marks without their owner’s permission, or anything unlawful.
